Barbra Bosworth-the meadow research

Barbra Bosworth's meadow
These images are from a series called 'the meadow' which documented a meadow during a length of time.
This image is documenting a tree during a frosty winter's morning in the meadow. With this image she has tried to convey the cold nature of the place by under exposing the image slightly, which gives it a dark blue tinge. personally I think that this image show a managed, but otherwise untouched landscape. personally i think that this links to my work because it shows a landscape which, while is managed, has not got any people in and and very little evidence of people in it. works like this probably form the inspiration for lots of the image which will be created to show what the landscape looks like without people.
This image is similar to the previous image but has more of a flat feel and has a lot more mist. I do like the way that it is split into three by the hedge rows in the image. The path which runs through the middle of the picture along the second third, draws the eye along and round and to the end of the picture creating a leading line. I also feel like the flatter 'ramp' section in the middle right of the picture creates a leading line, making the eye follow it down to the path which disappears off into the distance. i am hoping that i can create some images like this which have limited human interference to try and show the landscape we will be in.
I quite like this image, it shows a field with track marks from the various machines which have come and gone in the field. I quite like how the image is basically divided into thirds, with the field at the bottom, the tree line in the mist and the sky above that. I feel like it reminds us that it is not just people who work in the countryside but their machines. I think images like this will be important to the work because they show that the trust is a working land management group and not just a group of people who do this in their spare time.
i was lucky enough to be able to have a look at a copy of this book in person and photograph it.
